Targeting Ideas can be viewed for any audience that has been mapped, and can be accessed from an Audience Map by clicking on the “Targeting Ideas” tab.
When Targeting Ideas opens, the filters will be applied to target the ideal Age and Gender grouping for that audience.
The ideal age and gender group for this audience is women aged 18-54
The top dimensions for this audience are displayed as pink bars at the left side of the pane. They are listed in descending order of affinity.
The darker the pink color, the stronger the dimension affinity (different from audience affinity), as shown by the Dimension Affinity Key.
The length of the bar indicates the size of that dimension’s audience, according to the scale displayed directly beneath the list.
Adjusting the Audience
You can examine other parts of your audience to get additional targeting ideas.
The Age filter spans the ages of 18 to 65+. By sliding one or both beads along the bar, you can choose a continuous age range that you wish to target within the following parameters:
- Eligible minimum ages: 18, 25, 35, 45, 55
- Eligible maximum ages: 24, 34, 44, 54, 64, 65+
Directly beneath the Age filter is the Gender filter. You can choose one of three targeting options:
- All (both men and women)
- Men
- Women
The minimum dimension size can be adjusted by changing the number in this space. The default size is 25,000.
Each time a change is made in how the audience is trimmed or the minimum dimension size, the list of top dimensions to the left will change to reflect the new parameters.
If you see any dimensions (Blocks) that you would like to use to build a new audience or to optimize this or another audience, you can easily save them for later. Simply click on the star to the right of any dimension you want to save. The star will turn yellow, indicating that the dimension has been saved to your Favorite Blocks in Audience Builder. Click on the star again if you wish to remove it from your Favorite Blocks.
